Do you have any links? I'd like to see your facts. Most of the trains used in wreck scenes are either models or salvaged units. No tourist railroad would sell off their rolling stock. I've been on both the Strasburg and Cass tourist railroads. Believe me, they keep their rolling stock and gladly accept any donations to keep their displays running. I worked on Die Hard 3, The subway cars they used were salvaged and brought to the set on flat bed trucks. The wreck scene was filmed in the old General Dynamics building in Goose Creek SC. After the movie was completed,they were stripped and taken out to the ocean, sunk and are now artificial reefs. How do I know? I was there, running the pumps for the water effects.

I find it sad but I think education is key. If blacks, or people in general, are educated in school about the many stereotypes and biases of the media, they can at least think more critically about what messages they are getting from ads or shows or movies. I think the African-American community are more vulnerable to the damage that living in a highly Eurocentric society can sometimes inflict among those who do not fit the "beauty standard" since they have a long history of being denied basic rights and were not given respect for the many great contributions that they offered society, even in a time as recent in the 1960s whereas Caribbeans and Africans, although also subjugated by others, at least did not have their cultures stripped from them or ridiculed in their own society.

I hope that since what society considers to be a black man can be elected President, that beauty types that differ from the current Eurocentric standard can be considered beauty, not just an "exotic beauty" and that blacks no longer find straight, relaxed, or fake hair to be more desirable than their natural hair.

I agree that Germany was productive and perhaps more responsible than the PIIGS. But it also benefited by setting Euro rates to their OWN advantage to boost exports. The Euro is flawed from the gecko. You cannot have an interest rate that can accommodate for all the Euro nations. Hence rates are set to the advantage of the larger and more powerful nations (Germany, France). They benefited in the past, let them feel the pain now.
